Information for Parents.

This page should, hopefully, help answer any questions you

have about childminding. If there's anything else you'd like to ask, feel free to contact Tinkerbite Childcare.

You can use any of the methods on our contacts page to do this.

The Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS is the statutory framework that sets standards for Early Years providers to meet.

It covers learning and development, as well as safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessments.

Click above to go to the Foundation Years website, where you can download the entire EYFS, or the Parents' Guide to the EYFS.

The Office for Standards in Education

Ofsted are an independent and impartial organisation, who inspect and regulate professional childcare services and educational establishments in England.

They visit each establishment in order to conduct inspections, then publish the results on their website.

For childminders, Ofsted use the EYFS as a yardstick - Providers that are rated Outstanding must acheive over and above these standards.

Click above to visit the Ofsted website for more information or to view an inspection report.

Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years

Pacey used to be known as the National Childminding Association, or NCMA.

They have set standards for, and supported Childminders, Nurseries and Nannies in the UK since 1977.

Click the logo to visit their website for more information.

Babysdays.com

Babysdays.com is a website specifically designed for childcare providers. It allows parents to view their child's Diaries, Progress, Assessment Scales, Observations, Photographs, read and sign Policies and Permissions, and view and pay invoices.

Babysdays conforms with the EYFS and helps childminders to stay in line with this and provide a better service for parents and children.

Click the link above for more information. After your

child has been registered on babysdays, you'll be able

to log in and have access to site features.
